Shaoshuang (Lily) Guan is an art critic writer and curator based in Shanghai, China, and Melbourne, Australia. Her articles and works have been published in famous Chinese art magazines such as "Contemporary Art" and "Gallery Magazine". She also writes for the largest Chinese art website: Artron. She was interviewed by "New York Lounge" of Sinovision net as a visual artist and writer in 2020. Lily Guan founded PearlSlug Studio in 2020, an art book and zine studio based in Shanghai. It focuses on independent publishing, designing, and making art books and zines. Lily Guan’s main research directions are female cultures and gender studies in East Asian culture and art history, she is also interested in history and theory about self-publishing and zine culture.
